In connection with this Mil's design office modernized its famous helicopter Mi-8. The vehicle now had new engines and many feature; were improved. Increased energy capabilities allowed to increase the fire power by enlarging board and suspended armour and also to increase to maneuverability of the helicopter which is especially important in mountain batlles.
